This Damoiseau was distilled in 1953 from pure sugar-cane juice and bottled at the distillery, after 31 years of aging in oak barrels.

THE BRAND

Damoiseau distillery, located in the green heart of Le Moule, was founded in the 19th century by the Rimbaud family and was oginally known as the Bellevue au Moule distillery. Owned since 1942 by the Damoiseau family, under the guide of Roger Damoiseau father, rum distillation was only a side branch and the activity was mainly focused on candies and jams production.

In 1968 Roger Damoiseau, succeded Roger father and kept on developing the family business shifting the main production on rum distillation and thanks to a growing and growing activity, his three sons Hervé, Jean-Luc and Sandrine, started working with him. In 1995, Hervé succeded his father becoming the president, while since 1978, Jean-Luc is the master distiller and Sandrine handles the marketing.
