DESCRIPTION

Distilled in 2000 at Appleton distillery and bottled in 2021 by Moon Import.

THE BRAND

The Appleton Estate, officially founded in 1749, was born in the oldest sugar cane plantation in Jamaica, although the legend tells that the plantation where it stands, was officially planted by Sir Francis Dickenson, English soldier born in "Appleton", a small town in present-day Oxfordshire, Great Britain, which took part in the invasion of the continent almost a hundred years earlier, in 1655. Situated in the heart of the country, in the lush Nassau Valley and crossed by the Black River, since 1916 is owned by Wray & Nephew.  Since 2012, is controlled by the global giant of beverage industry, the Italian Davide Campari-Milano, better known as the Campari Group.

THE BOTTLER

Moon import, founded in 1980 by Pepi Mongiardino, is one of the most important Italian importer and distributor of fine spirits and wines. Its selections are world acclaimed and some of his rum bottlings are among the most sought-after bottles. Also famous for designing the packaging himself, inspired by illustrations founded in old books, Pepi’s selections are getting more and more a place in spirits history.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit. Please ensure that you undertake close up viewing/inspection prior to placing any bid.
